I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Haack at the landmark Orinda Theater last year. I was there with him to watch his grand-daughter perform in a singing competition. As we stood in line together, though we had just met, his kind and warm heart made me feel so good. I feel honored to have met him and will always remember that day.
My sincerest sympathy to Kellie, Randy, Reece & Kendall at this sad time.
Love,
Ann Marie

Rod helped me find recorded documents in city hall for my down town Auburn home when I bought it 28 years ago. He showed tremendous patience and professionalism. I truly respect him and all he has done for our community.

I've known Rod since he was the city manager. However I got to know him better while serving with him on the APPAC board during the last few years. He was such a hard worker and huge supporter of the effort. He will be sorely missed by many. My heartfelt condolences to his family and all those who love him.
