Alfred Alexander Doerfler

Alfred Alexander Doerfler, age 82, died at his home of 30 years in Auburn on Sunday, November 25, 2012. He was born on January 25, 1930, in Hays, Kansas.
During his younger years Alfred was an up and coming chef, sculptor, clock maker and jewelry designer in the Los Angeles area. He had great adventures of travel and exploration and memories of those times were fascinating. "Papa" as the grandkids called him, always had time to share a story, play a prank or scare the grandkids with his gorilla mask.
Alfred was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Willa Doerfler, daughter Doris Brubaker and grandson Alfred Michael O'Neal. He is survived by his two brothers Dave Doerfler and Alan Doerfler and sister
Joann Clark. He is also survived by his three daughters Diana Garcia, Dannette Woodruff, Deborah Doerfler-Casner and 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and his two dogs Alice and Sam.
"Papa" we will miss you so very much!
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
