Gerald Arlen Culbertson (Jerry)

Gerald Arlen Culbertson (Jerry), 80, of Lincoln Calif., passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2013.
The son of Thayne Culbertson (deceased), mother, Nada Culbertson (deceased), he was born in Lincoln on January 26, 1933.
He was raised in Lincoln and served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He received his Masters of Education from Sacramento State and began his career in 1958 as a school principal for Ophir, Vernon Street and Greenhills schools, all in Placer County and ended it as a teacher at Warren T. Eich intermediate in 1988. He also served as Director of Curriculum for the Roseville City School District. Jerry was a loving family man, an avid fisherman and nature lover, baseball fan, and favorite teacher to many students. He was good humored and had many friends both lifelong and recent.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Annette Culbertson of Lincoln, daughters, Juliet Culbertson of Woodland, Calif., and Joy Culbertson of San Francisco, Calif., nephews Jeff Culbertson, Michael Culbertson, Todd Culbertson, Patrick Culbertson, Stanley Culbertson and Edwin Culbertson and niece Debbie Prescott. And numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He joins his baby daughter, Elizabeth Ann, his brothers Clair Culbertson (Moose) and Robert Culbertson (The Wart), nephews, Robert Culbertson (Bobby), Robert Culbertson (Bubs), and niece Sandra Reeder in heaven.
A Catholic Mass in scheduled for May 17, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 280 Oak Tree Lane, Lincoln Calif. The Mass begins at 11 a.m. Also scheduled is a Rosary, Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln Funeral Home. Monetary contributions are graciously accepted for the St. Joseph's Building fund instead of flowers or other gifts.
