Ronald A. Brown
11/19/1916 - 5/8/2013

Ronald Brown, 96, passed peacefully in his home on May 8, 2013. "Mr. Brown," as he was fondly known, taught industrial arts at Placer High School for 30+ years and positively influenced the lives of hundreds of students who continued to show their appreciation and seek advice throughout the years. Known for his passion in pursuing hobbies, he was active in the restoration and enjoyment of early 20th century antique cars with a specialty in the Ford Model T. In retirement he developed an interest in the preservation of North American Bluebirds and visited numerous grammar school classrooms educating and guiding children in the construction of bird houses. He personally built and distributed more than 5000 bluebird houses in Placer County. An enormously talented and creative individual, he was the "go-to" friend of many. Mr. Brown was pre-deceased by his son Ronald Brown and daughter Glenna Lancaster.
He is survived by his wife, Eugenia; daughter, Paula; brother, Lowell; and sister, Freda Jones. He leaves behind six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Friends are welcome to share memories and stories at graveside services on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the New Auburn Cemetery followed by a reception at the Canyon View Community Center in Auburn. Donations in Mr. Brown's memory may be made to the North American Bluebird Society.
