Walter Paul Cebulski 3/6/1955 - 1/24/2014
Walter Paul Cebulski died in his home in Foresthill, Calif., Friday, January 24, 2014 after a brief fight with cancer. He died peacefully and comfortably, surrounded by his family. Born March 6, 1955 in Ann Arbor Mich., to Doris and Clyde Cebulski, Walt graduated from Pioneer High School and earned his degree from Eastern Michigan University. He was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Burton and David Cebulski.
Walt is survived by his Wife, Karla Cebulski. They met in Whitmore Lake Mich., when they were both 15-years old and they were together from that day on.
He is survived by his son, Lucas; two daughters and their husbands, Nicole and Justin, and Sarah and Corey. He also leaves behind his brother, Timothy, and three grandchildren, Ana, Sean and Drake.
Walt was all the normal things you'd expect a guy to be. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a husband, a father, and a grandfather. He was all those things and he was great. But he was more than all that.
Walt was a photographer. He was an engineer and a mechanic. He was never a huge fan of novels but he loved a good technical manual. He was also one hell of a cook. Vegetarians avoided the house on Sunday afternoon for fear that Walt's BBQ might turn them back into carnivores. He loved a good dirty-joke and he could also carry a tune. He had a good, deep voice. He could rock a Gordon Lightfoot song like nobody's business.
Walt was a good guy all around. He was a leader one minute and a clown the next. He was the best.
Walter Paul died the other morning and everyone who knew him will miss him greatly. The folks that didn't have a chance to know him, well...they missed out.
Oh! I almost forgot. Walt was always full of advice so I'm sure he'd appreciate me finishing this thing up with one of his favorite bits of the stuff. So, from him to me to you, always remember "A big cat WILL scratch you".
A private service was held by the family. Friends and relatives are invited to leave comments at the memorial website www.chapelofthehills-auburn.com
