Charles "Charlie" Kenneth Higgins, Jr.
5/4/1954-10/31/2016

Charlie passed away at home with his loving wife at his side after a year-long battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife, Nikki Totten Higgins in Newcastle, his daughter Krystal Higgins of Palo Alto, his son Kyle Higgins of Roseville, his sister Wendy (Higgins) Perez of Lincoln, his brother Jeff Higgins of South Carolina, and a large extended family including nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen.
Charlie was a quiet, patient, supportive and very dependable man with a great sense of humor. He loved his family, his dogs, his "toys" and his job. He was extremely proud of both his son and daughter for their successful careers. He enjoyed working as a manufacturing engineer at Vian Enterprises in Auburn, where he was well respected and loved by his co-workers and the Vian family.
He was born in Georgia to Charles and Marjorie Higgins. When he was one year old, his family moved to the New England area where he grew up and lived until moving to Northern California in 2005. He was a passionate Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics fan. Charlie was a licensed pilot, but his "Heaven on Earth" was riding his beloved Harley.
His family, friends and neighbors are heartbroken from the loss of this wonderful man. To know him was to love him.
