Inez Rosalee Andes

Inez Rosalee (Goodman) Andes, age 85, died on Saturday, October 22, 2016. She was born in Lenora, Kansas on Friday, March 13, 1931 to Dr. Lloyd and Abigail Goodman.
After her father's sudden death, the family moved to Biggs, Calif. where she met Jay C. Andes. They wed on May 21, 1949. She and Jay C. were married for 46 years. They welcomed nine children into their hearts; five boys and four girls.
Inez and her husband helped organize the first downtown Biggs Christmas Parade, the Biggs Little League Club, The Biggs Easter Egg Hunt and the annual Biggs Fire Department Spaghetti Feed. They were past presidents of the Biggs PTA organization and members of the Biggs Methodist Church.
One of the joys they shared as a couple was being Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron of the Biggs, Lyman Chapter No. 636 Order of Eastern Star in 1956.
Inez was a clerk typist and social worker for Butte County probation department. She and Jay C. owned and operated the Oroville Chocolate Shop Café. In 1970, they moved to Reno, Nev. and Inez worked at the Reno Executive Airport. They also opened a daycare center called Raggedy Andes Child Care and managed a real estate school.
Her last passion was real estate and in 1989 they moved to Lincoln, Calif. where she worked for Barringer Realty, Inc. She aqcuired her broker’s license and opened “Andes Property Management". She retired in 2012.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dorothy Nicolas, Jeanine Watters; and brother Howard Goodman; The love of her life, Jay C. Andes; two grandchildren, Troy Motsinger and Ashley Nicole Smith.
She is survived by all nine of her children; Cheryl Smith, Debra (Kurt) Boeger, Craig (Nelda) Andes, Paul (Julie) Andes, Mike Andes, Rebecca McCoy, Tracy Andes, Jay Charles Andes and Judy (Robert) Dament.
She was honored to be called Grandma and G.G. by 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Lincoln United Methodist Church, 629 I St. Lincoln, Calif. Friday November 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. Pastor Rob Pesola will be officiating. Refreshments hosted by United Methodist Women following the service. Childcare will be provided at the church.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Lincoln Meadows Care Home and The Bristol Hospice Society for their dedication and care of our mother.
