Janet Griffin Obituary

Janet "Jan" C.
Griffin
7/15/1929 - 9/14/2014

Janet "Jan" C. Griffin peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014 in Roseville, Calif., due to a sudden, unexpected illness. Jan was born on July 15, 1929 in Vallejo, Calif., to Daniel and Daisy McKenna. She grew up in Vallejo, Calif., later moving to Roseville, Calif., with her husband where they settled.
Jan was known throughout her life for her warm sense of humor. She was able to make everyone she met comfortable and at ease. Jan always put her family and friends first, never afraid to express how much she loved them. She took pride in being a mother, friend, and wife. Jan also loved her cats Lucky, Little Guy, and The Duke. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, going to Reno, reading, fresh flowers, and of course, spending time with her family.
Jan is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Jim Griffin; parents Daniel and Daisy; sister Loretta McKenna; son baby Bradley Griffin; and grandson Justin Griffin.
She is survived by her daughters Claudia Griffin (Michael), Lisa Woodworth (John), and Baby Shawn Covey (Jim); grandchildren Alison Winter, Jimmy and Aaron Covey; great grandchildren Sienna and Cohen Covey, Nathaniel Covey, Rhiannon Covey, and Carson Winter.
A memorial service will be held on Jan's behalf on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Cochrane & Wagemann, Funeral Directors, 103 Lincoln St., Roseville, CA. 95678.
A reception will follow the service, information to be provided at the service. Please share love and memories on Jan's guestbook at www.cochranewagemann.com.
