Janet "Jan" C. Griffin peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014 in Roseville, Calif., due to a sudden, unexpected illness. Jan was born on July 15, 1929 in Vallejo, Calif., to Daniel and Daisy McKenna. She grew up in Vallejo, Calif., later moving to Roseville, Calif., with her husband where they settled.
Jan was known throughout her life for her warm sense of humor. She was able to make everyone she met comfortable and at ease. Jan always put her family and friends first, never afraid to express how much she loved them. She took pride in being a mother, friend, and wife. Jan also loved her cats Lucky, Little Guy, and The Duke. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, going to Reno, reading, fresh flowers, and of course, spending time with her family.
Jan is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Jim Griffin; parents Daniel and Daisy; sister Loretta McKenna; son baby Bradley Griffin; and grandson Justin Griffin.
She is survived by her daughters Claudia Griffin (Michael), Lisa Woodworth (John), and Baby Shawn Covey (Jim); grandchildren Alison Winter, Jimmy and Aaron Covey; great grandchildren Sienna and Cohen Covey, Nathaniel Covey, Rhiannon Covey, and Carson Winter.
A memorial service will be held on Jan's behalf on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Cochrane & Wagemann, Funeral Directors, 103 Lincoln St., Roseville, CA. 95678.

Although Jan has left us for now she lives on with each of us. We will all miss her so very much but she remains witheach of us that oved her so very much

So sad to hear we lost Grandma Jan:( I loved her so much and always admired her for her beatuful spirit and the way she loved all of us as if we were her own! I know that she is with Justin now so her heart can be whole again! All my love to you all!

Claudia, Lisa and Shawn,
All of you were my whole world as we were growing up.It was wonderful to reconnect after many years of not knowing what happened to us all.
I loved your Mom so much. I am glad we all were able to get together during the last few summers. I got to share some wonderful memories & events--with her. She'll alwys have a very special place in my heart.
