Janet Rasmussen Fischer

Janet was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clyde Peter Rasmussen and Ellen Josephine Rasmussen. She passed away at her home in Roseville on October 13, 2016 after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by both parents and sisters Dorothy Tahtaras, Grace Pierce and June Wetzel.
Janet is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, William Fischer, children Kelli Santos (Richard), William E. Fischer, Victoria Lambson and Robert Fischer (Holly); Grandchildren Jason Allbritton (Sharon), Owen Allbritton (Julie), Monica Walmar (James), Megan Lambson, Grant Fischer, Victoria Fischer and four Great Grandchildren, as well as Sisters Beverlee Morrowit and JoEllen Crowell (Randy) and many nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Hayward High School in Hayward, Calif. She continued her education at the University of California at Berkeley where she earned her AA Degree.
Janet was employed as an Accounting Manager for the California Nurserymen's Association in Sacramento for 10 years before retiring in 1997.
Her beautiful backyard is a testament to her passion for gardening, her paintings are showcased throughout her home, and she had an amazing gift for interior design.
Janet was a beloved family member, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and the purrfect pet parent as well as a loyal friend. Such a strong presence in our lives, she will be forever missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 19 at Unity Church of Roseville 911 Washington Blvd. Roseville
