Rhoda M. Schottler Leal, 74 passed away June 18, 2014. She was born December 27, 1939 in San Francisco, Calif. Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Herman W. Schottler, Margarette Parkinson Schottler.
Rhoda graduated from Sequoia High School in Redwood City, Calif., in 1958. She married Richard P. Leal on May 17, 1959. They were married 55 years.
Rhoda was a homemaker who was active in her community. She served with the Candle Lighters in Fremont Calif., for many years, along with many other events and charities. Rhoda enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, two sons, grandchildren. and many friends over the span of her life. Dick and Rhoda also lived in Spain for a year. Rhoda's passions were family, music, dancing and meeting people from all over the world who became dear friends till this very day.
Rhoda was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She is survived by her Husband Richard P. Leal of Lincoln, Calif., sons Mr. and Mrs. Donald, Darla Leal of Roseville, Calif., Mr. Michael Leal of Newcastle, Calif., four grandchildren, Bianca Leal, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob, Alana Leal, and Joey Leal and Briana Leal, and one great grandchild, Delanie Leal. Sister, Mrs. and Mr. Francis, Richard Abbott of Santa Clara, Calif., Niece, Mrs. and Mr. Allison, Norman Kline, Nephews, John and William Kline.
The Leal family would like to give a special thanks to the entire staff of Interim Health Care Services (Hospice), for making our mom's final days as peaceful as humanly possible. We will never forget you all.
A memorial will be held on June 24, 2014 from 4:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, Calif. 95678.
A mass will be held June 25, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Church at 280 Oak Tree Lane, Lincoln, CA. 95658
