Richard W. Beck lost his very courageous battle with esophageal cancer on Oct. 14, 2016.
Richard was born in Anaconda, Montana on April 28, 1945. Richard is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Dawn Beck, Livermore, Calif. and daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Ken Miller, Soquel, Calif.; four beautiful grandchildren, Kayleigh (15) & Keyara (11) Beck, Scotty (8) & Ryan (6) Miller; his six siblings, Ray (Polson, Mont), Dave (Anaconda, Mont), Robert, (Spokane, Wash), Monte (Bozeman, Mont), Julie Traver (Bozeman, Mont) and Brian (Sandy, Utah) and their spouses and families. He will be joined in heaven with his beloved wife Judy, father Reynold and mother June Beck.
He met the love of his life, Judy, in Anaconda, Mont. They were married at St Paul's Church in Anaconda on June 25, 1966. Then they moved to Sunnyvale, California and started their family. Richard started his career at PG&E and worked for 45 years and retired as Backhoe Operator.
After retirement in 2000, Richard and Judy moved to Lincoln, Calif, and started spending their summers in Polson, Mpnt. with family and friends. Richard loved spending time at the lake with his kids and grandkids taking them on golf cart and boat rides, and watching the beautiful Montana sunsets.
A Celebration of life for Richard will be held on Saturday, 11/5/16 at Granite Springs Church, 1170 Joiner Parkway, Lincoln, Calif at 2:30 p.m. This will be a casual and upbeat gathering. Then there will be a private family burial in Polson, Montana in July.
