Robert was born in Oroville, California. His parents were Parley Anglen and Effie Simmons. He leaves behind his wife, Myrna Anglen, sister, Darlyas Gross, sons, Randy and Gary and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He enjoyed Hunting, Hiking, Camping, and Fishing with family and friends. He enjoyed all of the many friends that he made while living in Roseville in his 1960's style Track Home. Robert attended Oroville High School and graduated in 1952. His family roots go back prior to the American Revolution. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Calvert. He worked for Aerojet-General in Folsom. He worked on the Titan Rockets, Thor Rockets, Ion Drive Motors, Jaydam Rocket boosters, Thor-Ablestar, Army Hawk Launch systems while at Aerojet General. After their downsizing in 1967 he found employment with D & L Automotive and later the City Of Roseville as a mechanic. He retired from the city of Roseville in 1994.
He died at home in the prescense of his family while under Hospice Care. We entrust his soul to Our Beloved God until his return. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 13, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. with Funeral Services to Follow on Friday at 11 a.m. at Lambert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Igo, Calif., on June 20, 2013 at 12:30 p.m.
