Gary Dean Doupnik

Local Prominent Businessman, Gary Dean Doupnik, born on July 24th, 1935 in Linn, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 3, 2014. Gary was raised in Linn, Kansas, and was a proud graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in business. Gary moved his family to the San Francisco Bay area in 1962 where he worked at Keith Cole Photography. His family then relocated to Loomis in 1976 and opened Gary Doupnik Manufacturing, a Modular Manufacturer, installing classrooms and commercial buildings throughout California for 38 years. Gary was an active member of the Loomis Lions Club, a longtime member of the Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Loomis Methodist Church and The Wonder Workers.
Gary is survived by: his loving wife of 58 years, Betty, four children, Sherrie Edgar (Mike), Gary Doupnik, Jr. (Sally), Kirtus Doupnik (Debra), and J.T. Doupnik (Jennifer), nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Gary's favorite pastimes were spending time with family, working in his vegetable garden, spending time in Graeagle, and his passion for golf.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Loomis, 6414 Brace Road, Loomis, Calif., with a reception to follow at the Blue Goose, 3550 Taylor Road, Loomis, Calif. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Loomis Lions Club or any local charity in Gary's name.
