Bertha Irene "Cooky" Brooks, 71, of Sierra Vista, Ariz. passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20, 2014.
Irene was born on Friday, November 13, 1942 in Auburn, Calif. to the late Arden and Bertha Webster. She was raised in Auburn, California and graduated from Placer High School. She spent many years in Lake County. She was a 27 year resident of Sierra Vista.

Cooky as she was known loved to crochet and share her doilies and afghans with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Cooky is survived by: her brothers, Arden (Pat) Webster, Jr., and Robert (Diana) Webster; Step-children, Ronald (Karen) Brooks, Jr., of Bend, OR., Steven (Sheryl) Brooks of Roseville, Calif., Jennifer (Greg) Leard of Foresthill, Calif., Leaetta (Mark) Brooks of Sacramento, Calif., and Wendy Morsea also of Sacramento, Calif. She is also survived by many cousins and held a special place in her heart for her cousin Linda and nephew Robert Webster II (Kura and son Matthew). She had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dean Brooks, Sr.; brothers, Donald Webster, Sr. and sister, Ardene McPherson
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 1:00 p.m. at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Jordan Drake officiating.
