Gregorio Ungacta 94 years of age was called home to his eternal rest on March 22, 2012 to be with his wife Felicidad Gogo Iglesias who died on January 23, 2005. He was a Pacific Islander born in Guam on September 1, 1917. He had been a resident of Granite Bay for over 41 years. Gregorio Ungacta has been with the Knights of Columbus with Saint Rose Church earning the Distinguish Honor as a 3rd Degree Grand Knight. He will be missed and remembered in the hearts of his survivors brother, Peter W. Sococo from Chesapeake, Va., sister Margarita S. Perez and her children and their spouses from Forest Heights, Md., his daughter Dori D. Oldre and son-in-law Art Oldre with their son James Dwyer and his wife Christy Dwyer and great-granddaughter Ana Bella Dwyer. He will also be missed by his grandchildren David A, and Mellissa Ungacta, Lenora and Ron Keyser and Jason and Jonathan Ungacta; his great-grandchildren Sera and Ryan Keyser, Grant and Sami Ungacta, and Felicia Ungacta. But most of all his only son David I. Ungacta and daughter-in-law Cynthia D. Ungacta and Helen Chaco.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the Recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m. at Cochrane's Chapel of the Roses in Roseville, Calif. The Mass of Christian Burial will commence on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 615 Vine Avenue in Roseville. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery at the Chapel where we bid farewell to Gegorio and wish him a peaceful journey to eternal life with his wife in Heaven.
