Thomas G. Widmann
11/11/1951 - 11/13/2012

Thomas G. Widmann, loving husband, father, son and brother lost his courageous battle with cancer November 13, 2012 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Tom lived in So. Calif. and Hawaii before making Auburn his home. In 1995 he married Penny and built a life with her, helping her raise four children, loving them as his own.
Tom worked as a bartender at Lou La Bontes in Auburn for many years until he retired. He loved his profession because he enjoyed meeting new people. He was an avid sports fan and loved talking sports with the patrons, or just to lend an ear to listen. He was loved by all who knew him. Tom and Penny ran a daycare and considered the kids his extended family, watching them grow from babies into young successful adults with their own babies. He was so proud that he had such a positive impact on their lives, they considered him their Dad.
His greatest pleasure in life was when he was blessed with his four grandkids.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Penny, children Mikel (Jessie), LilyAnn (Gary), Crystal (Travis), Chris (Lizzy). Grandchildren Taylor, Camdyn, Liam and Hannah. His mother Shirley, step dad Gary, sisters Donna Martin, Jean Hunt, Patricia Jensen and Jennifer Landanger and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Gordon Widmann, sister Barbara, brother-in-law Steve and his nephew Richard.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Lou La Bontes Restaurant in Auburn. Please join us to share your memories and celebrate Tom's life.
