Buster Machado
9-27-1991 to 12-15-2012

Buster Machado, a lifelong Auburn resident, died in a tragic ATV accident Saturday night.
The 2009 Placer High School graduate loved the San Francisco Giants, his family, motorcycles, hunting, fishing, camping and being with friends.
He grew up helping his grandfather, Gil Machado, and father, Gary Machado, work at the family farm and store, Machado's Orchards in Bowman.
Buster first drove a tractor at age eight. He loved the family dog, a boxer named "Rudy." Buster was featured in the Auburn Journal many times throughout his lifetime. He won the greased pole climb and was pictured proudly holding the stick covered with cash during the Old Town Fourth of July celebration in 2004.
Buster enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, whether in the wilderness, or visiting foreign cities and countries. He took a memorable graduation trip to Europe with his beloved grandmother, Bobbi Machado.
Buster worked at Sierra Safety in Newcastle and Echo Valley Ranch in Auburn where he had many friends among staff and customers.
Buster is survived locally by his mother and stepfather, Laura and Paul Ferreira; father Gary and his wife Shawnie Machado; sister Libby Machado; step-brother and step-sisters Chance, Andé and Amanda Ferreira; aunt and uncle Susi and Gary Krezman.
