Arleen( Billie) L.
2/23/1962 - 4/15/2013

Arleen left this life to meet God on April 15, 2013 after a long courageous battle with leukemia.
She passed away peacefully at Stanford Medical Center with her husband Hank and her sister Virginia at her bedside.
She was born on February 23, 1962 to James and Virginia Simpson of Marysville Calif. She grew up in Piedmont Calif., before the family moved to Marysville where she completed High School and met her husband of 28 years, Hank Higham. They began their life together in Sacramento Calif., living there for 15 years. They later moved to Cool, Calif., where they lived for 18 years. Arleen worked 16 years for the Placer County Probation Department where she cooked all the meals each day. Arleen was an old soul and will be remembered as strong minded, high spirited with a great sense of humor and a vibrant zest for life. She loved nature, gold panning, gardening and cooking for family and friends.
Arleen is survived by her husband Henry (Hank) Higham; her parents, James and Virginia Simpson; sisters, Ruth, Mary, Virginia (John), Linda (Mike); brothers, Jimmy and Ronnie; sister-in-law, Anne Hicks (David); brother-in-law, Steve Funai; as well as many nieces and nephews.
