Ruth Odetta Gray (Parks)
7/13/24 to 8/4/13

Ruth passed away in her home in Colfax, surrounded by her loving family. Born in St. Joseph, Missouri, she is survived by her husband of 66 years, Charlie, children Jennifer Peatman, Chuck Gray, Alan Gray and Judy Davis, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She worked at the public library and Quaker Oats after high school and, in 1943, met her brother's best friend, Charlie. They were married in 1947 in St. Joseph and moved to Portland, Oregon, Walla Walla, and Spokane, Washington until 1955. A new job took them to Southern California, where they raised their children. Ruth retired from K-Mart as a bookkeeper after 20 years of service. In 2000, they moved to Colfax and attended Colfax Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed volunteering in the American Legion Auxiliary throughout her life. She was the best wife and mom ever and will be missed by all.
