On Jan. 29, 1950, she was united in marriage to Robert Sornson at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. They were blessed with four children: Judy, Paul, Greg and Jane. She and Robert helped raise funds for Iowa Public Television for several years as the Audubon County IPTV Fall Festival representatives. Elaine enjoyed time with life-long friends of the «Our Day Out» Club, coffee groups, and the Red Hat Society ladies› many adventures. Elaine and Robert enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and especially family.
