Helen worked at several stores in Carroll during her young adult years.
Helen met Lawrence Heithoff at a dance in Carroll. On Feb. 4, 1948, they were united in marriage at St. Peter and Paul's Church in Carroll. Helen and Lawrence were the parents of four children.
