Jack Dean Mullenger, 76, son of Robert T. and Ruth Mullenger passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014, in Ocean Springs, Miss. He was born Sept. 27, 1937 in Hamlin.

He graduated from Audubon High School with the class of 1956.
He joined the Army National Guard in Audubon, and then enlisted in the United States Air Force. He had various assignments within the United States and overseas.
In 1960, he met and married Marietta E. Marques, while stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. Jack spent 1966 in Vietnam.
Jack retired in May 1982 as a Master Sergeant after 26 years of Air Force service. He then worked at the Veterans Administration in Biloxi, Miss., for a short time before spending 18 years with the Naval Oceanographic Office at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. He worked for another six years at several casinos in Biloxi, Miss.
In his retirement, Jack enjoyed buying and selling vintage DVDs.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his brothers, Robert W. and James H. Mullenger.
Mourning his passing are his wife, Marietta of Ocean Springs, Miss.; his son, Robert L., daughter-in-law, Rhonda L. Radcliff and a granddaughter, Stella Maria of Mountain View, Calif.; his sister, Pat Mullenger of Audubon; his sisters-in-law, Virlee Mullenger, of Hamlin; and Judi Mullenger of Herndon, Va.; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
His ashes are resting at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs, Miss.
