Janice Madsen Grindle passed while surrounded by family at her home in Groveland, FL on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th following a long battle with breast cancer. She was born in 1950 to Leonard and Lenora Madsen of Audubon. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. She attended Audubon Community Schools, graduating in 1968. She graduated from Dana College in Blair, NE in 1972.
Jan moved to the Orlando, Fla. area in 1984 where she had a successful psychotherapy practice. In 2005 she and her husband moved to Groveland, FL. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Groveland. Jan enjoyed life with a radiantly positive attitude and a determined spirit. She will be missed by many, especially her husband, Artie Grindle of Groveland and daughter Laura Johnson of Philadelphia, PA, Tamara Marshall, Katyann Grindle, Andrew Grindle all of Orlando, FL, her sister Cathy and brother-in-law Lyle Stone of Kansas City, MO, and brother Gary and sister-in-law Diane Madsen of Madison, WI.
