Mass of the Christian burial for Lilly Lorinda A. Tasler, 80, was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 from St. Columbkille's Catholic Church in Churdan with Rev. Father Donald Ries officiating. Interment was made in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Lohrville. A Rosary was held at 3 p.m. and a Vigil for the Deceased at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the Brown Funeral Home in Jefferson.
Serving as casket bearers were Ronald Tasler, Steven Tasler, Randy Tasler, Kim Tasler, Jay Tasler, Vaughn Bauer, Roger Griffith and Tracy Weierke.
Lorinda Tasler, the daughter of Paul and Adina Pearson, was born Jan. 10, 1931 at Farnhamville, and departed this life Nov. 23, 2011 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She lived her life to the age of 80 years, 10 months and 13 days.
Lorinda attended and graduated from the Farnhamville High School. On Feb. 9, 1949, Lorinda Pearson was united in marriage to Donald Tasler. Eight children were born to their union. After their marriage, Lorinda and Don farmed and raised their family in the Churdan and Adaza area
Lorinda was a member of St. Columbkille's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Rosary Society, American Legion Auxiliary, G.A. Club, and the Adaza Thursday Club. Lorinda cherished her time with family and friends.  To her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Lorinda created a loving home filled with music and laughter.  She passes onto them her wonderful traits; unconditional love, generosity, honesty, goodness, and her desire to dance.  Above all, Lorinda was a loving wife to Don.  Their marriage was an inspiration to all who witnessed it.  For 60 years, they loved laughed and danced, and now they are dancing for eternity.
Lorinda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don in 2009, a sister, Ina Swanson and her husband, Harry, a brother, LeRoy Pearson and his first wife, Virginia, brothers-in-law; Roger and Duane Tasler and a great-grandson, Lane Walker.
Lorinda is survived by her eight children; Marjorie Griffith and husband, Roger, of Audubon, Steve and friend, Justine, of Manson, Ronald and wife, Marilyn, of Jefferson, Randy and wife, Vicki, of Lake City, Kim and friend, Teresa, of Jefferson, Jay and wife, Marcia, of Churdan, Lori Bauer and husband, Vaughn, of Paton, and Tina Weierke and husband, Tracy, of Farmington, Minn., 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Marlene Black and husband, Ron, of Ames, Dee Tasler of Gowrie and Marguerite Pearson of Arlington, Neb., two brothers-in-law; Norman and wife, Arlene, of Omaha and Dennis and wife, Colleen, of Webster City.
