Matthew Arnold Ericksen, the son of Martin Arnold and Lisa Ann (Hansen) Ericksen, was born March 2, 1985, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, and died Aug. 5, 2014, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, at the age of 29 years, 5 months, and 3 days.
Matthew was baptized at the Brayton Lutheran Church in Brayton, and confirmed at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn. He attended Atlantic Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 2004.
Matthew moved to Oskaloosa, where he was employed at Imagine the Possibilities. Later he moved to New Hope Village in Carroll, and participated in the Adult Day Service Program.
