Rozelle was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She attended rural school east of Audubon near the Guthrie County line. She was a very happy child and loved spending time at her paternal grandparents' farm "The White Star Farm" which was located near her birthplace. Rozelle worked as a baby sitter for several years. She then was employed as a cook at the Audubon Elementary School for over sixteen years until she retired.
On Jan. 24, 1975, she married Harold B. Madison at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. They enjoyed camping and traveling across the United States. Harold died February 21, 1995. Since that time Rozelle has continued to enjoy living in her home in Audubon.
Rozelle was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. She enjoyed her weekly trips to the church to help fold the Shepard's Staff and help in the church kitchen. She loved to bake especially bread, cinnamon rolls, and pies. Rozelle always had a large garden and spent many hours canning the produce she grew. She loved to play cards and belonged to several card clubs. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to congregate meals.
