Funeral services for Shirley Mae Gore, age 85, of Council Bluffs, were held Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel in Council Bluffs. Pastor Tom Boomershine, Epworth United Methodist Chuch, was the officiant. Interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Cutler-O'Neill- Meyer-Woodring was in charge of the arrangements.

Shirley M. Gore the daughter of the late Albert R. and Maggie Mae McCaw Stewart, was born Feb. 8, 1925 in Mitchell, S.D. and passed away Sept. 22, 2010, at Bethany Lutheran Home.
Shirley was a 1945 graduate of Audubon High School.
Shirley was united in marriage to Loren T. Gore Jr. on June 10,1951 in Audubon. For over 25 years, Shirley worked at St.Bernards and McDermott Wing at Mercy as a CNA, retiring in 1989.
She was a long time member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Loren Gore Jr. in 2001, sons, Spencer and Steven Gore, brothers, Donald and Wayne Stewart.
Survivors include daughters, Tara Beth Koenigs and husband Tim of Edmond, Okla., Joanie M. Brazeal and husband Jake of Council Bluffs, Janet M.Mackland and husband Tom of Crescent, son Jeff B.Gore of Chicago, Ill., seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother, Garold Stewart and wife Bev of Detroit, Mich.
The family has suggested memorials to Epworth Church and Oddysey Hospice.
