Celebration of life memorial services for Timothy E. Lauritsen, 54, were conducted by Pastor Doug Opp on Monday, July 30, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. Inurnment was in the Arlington Heights Cemetery in Audubon. The Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon was in charge of the arrangements.

Timothy Edward Lauritsen, the son of Edward Benjamin and Donna Jean Weston Lauritsen, was born Sept. 15, 1957, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, and died July 24, 2012 at his home in North Liberty, at the age of 54 years, 10 months, and 9 days.
Tim was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. He attended Audubon Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1975. He then attended college at the University of Iowa in Iowa City graduating with a degree in Liberal Arts on May 15, 1982.
Tim worked various jobs in the Omaha and Audubon area before moving to North Liberty in 1992. He was employed in a carpentry shop where he did woodworking and cabinetry making beautiful furniture. He had not worked for several years due to his failing health.
Tim was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. He was a kind person who loved his nieces and nephews. He always kept up on politics and had an opinion on the latest events.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his step-mother Elaine Lauritsen of Audubon; his sisters: Lisa and husband Jim Mauer of Caney, Kan.; Laura and husband James Hallinan of Lansing, Kan.; his half-brothers: Scott and wife Rose Weston of Marshalltown; Chris and wife Angela Weston of Des Moines; his step-brothers and step-sisters: Kay and husband Steve Wilt of Gurnee, Ill.; Brian and wife Nicci Lauritsen of Lamar, Colo.; Bruce and wife Barb Lauritsen of Guthrie Center; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
