Its been almost 3 years since my wonderful sister transitioned and I still miss her so so much. She was the most caring person I've ever met with a goofy sense of humor that often had me cracking up over the years growing up. I still remember the last time I saw her on a visit from Atlanta to Augusta to see her. Her health had declined and she was sitting in her recliner with her eyes closed, i got down on my knees and laid my head on her lap as she had her hands on my head when I got up i whispered in hear ear several times I LOVE YOU MISSY!!! she would mumble I LOVE YOU TOO!! We had an amazing childhood from Kent St (Turpin hill) to Dade St (Jordan place) Rest in paradise my beautiful, loving, and caring dear sister. I thank GOD I had you for my sister.
Love you Missy
Your baby brother.

To the Bereaved Family, Mirian was a good friends. I have known her for 36 Years. We were members of the same church, used to sing on the choir together, traveled out of town together, We laugh hard together, even shared tears together. I will forever miss her presence. Mirian was such a beautiful and loving person, full of joy and had a unique sense of humor that was out of this world. She always had a kind and uplifting word for all who came in touch with her. During her struggles and sickness, she never complained, but would still try to encourage others. All I have to say is enjoy "Heaven" My Friend.

To God be the glory for the things he has done. I thank God for Sister Carpenter. She was always encouraging me. When I thought I was not doing my part as president she encouraged me. I know that she is now joyous and is in the presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Prayers for the family is that He will comfort and keep them at this difficult time.

Mirian was such a sweet person. She never met a stranger. I cannot help but remember the last time I saw her a few years ago at the mall, we stood and talked forever. She shared some very personal things about her life, which ended up blessing me. At the end she said, come on, I will pay for your items. I said no, but she insisted. She just wanted to be a blessings! Rest on Sister....until we meet again.

Missy and I were childhood friends and neighbors from the age of four. Even as a child she was always loving and giving. May you always be remembered for your kindness and loving smile. My mother and her mother were friends and truly allowed us to have a wonderful childhood sharing together. May God walk with the family during this time of bereavement. I will always love you, Missy!

Marian and I attended Collins Elementary together and we went to different schools for Junior High. It would sometimes be years before we would see each other but whenever we did it was a joy. She was such a kind and loving person and was always talking about the goodness of the Lord. I saw her for the last time at Macy's and she shared her struggle with her health and I promised to pray for her and I did. I thank God for the opportunity to know such a beautiful Spirit!! My condolences to and prayers for the family.

I truly respected Sis. Carpenter. I never met someone so sweet, humble, enthusiastic, and positive in my life. Her musicianship was beautiful just one of a kind! She could pick up anything musically! There were a couple of occasions whereas we met where I was singing and she was the accompanist. She was truly gifted and anointed! She will be truly missed but I know she is finally well, free, and back with the heavenly Father. My condolences to her family and May God Bless you all!

To the family
Words can not adequately express the loss of my true friend (Missi) Mirian. The years I have known her at True Vine has been heartfelt, shared with laughter and sorrow. I will truly miss Missi's smiling face as she would enter the church Sunday after Sunday with a smile always on her face, as she takes her seat at the keyboard, where she would sing and play so melodiously. She has left a heart print with me and I will always see that smile on her face. Family you are in my prayers.

Sis. Carpenter was a treasure of the heart at Tremont Temple Baptist Church. She was such an inspiring person, and always met you with a beautiful smile, and a heartfelt greeting. To the family: "Those who have lived in our hearts are never really gone. As long as we keep them with us, in our hearts and our thoughts, they will be with us always. For love, which is timeless, never ceases to exist." S.E. McNaughton

It is so sad to hear about the passing of our friend Mirian. We shall miss her but we find consolation in knowing that she is now free from all the troubles of this world. One day we shall meet again. This message is from the family of the Late Rev. Andrew Johnson with whom Mirian shared her Blessed Talent with years ago at First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church here in Augusta Ga.
