AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Morris D. Arnold, 80, of Augusta, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at The Place on Deans Bridge. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11am at South Augusta Church of Christ with Minister Earl Anderson officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Born in Bristol, TN, he was the son of the late Norman and Trula Green Arnold. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired iron worker. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He was an avid knife collector. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Arnold and Bill Arnold. He is survived by his wife, Inez Cobble Arnold, son, Michael (Kathy) Arnold, Augusta, GA, brother, Steve Arnold, Bristol, VA, sisters, Barbara McCawley, Sharron Hagy, both of Bristol, TN, Mary Carlton, Berlin, MD, grandchildren, Holly Galle, Heather Arnold, and Robert Arnold. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 7-9pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road.
