Ardean Barham

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Ardean Dizzy Barham, 80, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013. Mrs. Barham was a lifetime member of the VFW. She enjoyed crocheting, and traveling to Las Vegas to visit family and play the slot machines. Following her retirement from Civil Service at Fort Gordon, she volunteered at the VA. Ardean was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Pearl Chavous Jones; her beloved husband, Jimmy D. Barham, Sr.; and their son, Marshall Mark Eugene Barham. She is survived by her son, Jimmy D. Barham, Jr. of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; daughter, Deb (Chuck) Odom of Hephzibah; grandchildren, Eric (Jayme) Odom, Matthew (Brittany) Grass, Christopher Barham and Amy (Stephen) Odom; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Chaplain Joe Lusk officiating. Interment will be private.
