Herman Harrell

BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - Herman Royce Harrell, 79, beloved husband of 56 years to Vivian B. Harrell, entered into rest Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 10, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. at New Hope Gospel Chapel with Pastor Bob Still and Pastor Willie Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Harrell, a native of Thomasville, GA, was the son of the late James Vernon and Erie Hall Harrell. He was retired after 36 years from Civil Service at Fort Gordon. Mr. Harrell was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Sam s Camping Club. He was a member of New Hope Gospel Chapel where he was active in the Adult Sunday School Class and was involved in the Men s Fellowship. Mr. Harrell was past and longtime member of Glenn Hills Baptist Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Herman Stanley Harrell of Evans and James Michael Harrell (Donna) of Warrenville, SC; daughters, Rosa Marie Harrell Jackson (Gary) of Augusta, and Nona Reese Harrell Peters (Tony) of Evans; brother, John W. Harrell (Frances) of Austell, GA; grandchildren, Brenda, David, Brian, Danielle, and Amber; as well as six great grandchildren.
