Well growing up in my early teens, Roy was one of my father figures. I admired his hard work and dedication to his family. I always, somewhat no so secretly, wanted him to be my dad. He was so loving and generous, just like a dad should be. I never knew what that felt like till him. He always treated me like I was his own whenever I was around and Lord knows I should have just had my own room for all those years. I am so sorry to have missed his passing and service and it makes me so sad. I had been wanting to visit him since I got the news and just never took the time to do it. I didn't make the service as being out of the country prevented it. Roy, I know you are way up high in the heavens. Please shine your light on me every chance you get. I love you and will always have you in my heart.
Love and peace,

He had a big heart and a great sense of humor. When Carolyn, Mary, and I were little, it was Uncle James that would send us squealing with laughter after he'd played a cute prank on us or told us a silly joke. I'll forever remember his hearty laugh and gentle nature.
