ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Entered into rest Tuesday, September 6, 2016, Mrs. Sandra Jones Norvell, wife of Mr. James Fleming Norvell of Augusta. Mrs. Norvell was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Warren Jones, Sr. Family members in addition to her husband include daughters: Kathryn Cozart Grant (Robert) of Augusta, Karen Cozart Brown (Gregg) of Ellicott City, Maryland and Karla Cozart Cameron (David) of Marriottsville, Maryland; granddaughters: Kathryn Edwina Grant, Katherine Grace Cameron and Laura Elizabeth Cameron; brother: Eddie Warren Jones, Jr. (Linda); sister: Lynne Jones Smith (Larry) of Augusta; Fleming's children Jennifer Norvell Farrell (Richard) of Washington DC, James Fleming Norvell, Jr. (Jacinda) of Augusta and Frank Wilcox Norvell (Mallory) of Mount Pleasant, SC; Fleming's grandchildren: Connor Wilcox Farrell, Elizabeth Fleming Farrell, Katherine Fleming Norvell, Sarah Eaddy Norvell, Frank Wilcox Norvell, Jr. and Gray Hamilton Norvell. She was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd and a former member for 10 years at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church on Hilton Head Island, SC. Mrs. Norvell was a former member of the Augusta University Foundation Board. During their years in Hilton Head she served on the Board of Directors of Volunteers in Medicine and was president of the Women of the Church. A graveside service will be Friday, September 9, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with The Reverend Robert Duncan Fain officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Augusta University Birdie Club , P.O. Box 14127, Augusta, GA 30919 or to Episcopal Day School Future Leaders Scholarship Fund, 2248 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904. The family will receive friends this evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
