Mary Scroggins

LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mrs. Mary "Bobbie" R. Scroggins, of Forest Lake Estates, entered into rest Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Augusta University Health, Augusta. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15th at 3 p.m. at Faith Community Church. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Scroggins, daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Gleason Bussey, was a phlebotomist and had worked as a tax preparer at H&R Block in Thomson. She had lived in Lincoln County for the past 45 years, was a member of Faith Community Church, and served on the Patient Advocacy Board at GRU for Family Medicine and Pediatrics. Her husband, James Scroggins, and sister, Maxine Johnson, preceded her in death. Survivors: daughters: Terrie S. Turner, Lincolnton, Kellie S. Quinn, Evans, Cynthia Scroggins, Asheville, NC, Lonna Brady, Maryland; brothers: Robert M. Bussey, Jr. , Augusta, Shaw Bussey, Hazzard, Ky., Chris Bussey, The Netherlands, Ray Bussey, North Augusta, SC, Danny Bussey, Lincolnton; sisters: Faye Simpson, Appling, Cindy Higgins, Augusta, Donna Bussey, Colorado; 9 grandchildren; 1 grand dog; 4 great-grandchildren.
