DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - On October 8, 2013 being all knowing the Lord suddenly called his child home at the age of 80. Mrs. Addie K. Bess was born on April 17, 1933 to loving parents George and Lizzie Mae King who preceded her in death. Addie received her education in the Richmond County School System graduating from Lucy C. Laney High School. She attended Paine College and finished business courses in Atlanta, Georgia. Addie was joined in marriage to Rudolph Bess of Union Point, Georgia in 1954. To this union one child was born. Upon retiring from the Internal Revenue Service after 30+ years, Addie and husband Rudolph moved to Delray Beach to be closer to her daughters, immediate family, and extended family who graciously welcomed them. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 59 years, Rudolph; a loving daughter, Adria and son-in-law, Leonard (Bernard) Mitchell; granddaughter, Therrion 'Teri' Mitchell Snyder and husband, Laine of Corpus Christi, Texas and granddaughter, Candace Mitchell, Boynton Beach; special grandson, Maurice White; Great-grandson, Noah Legend Mitchell Snyder of Corpus Christi, Texas; loving and devoted cousins, Mary Hagan, Mattie Taylor, Kenneth Beard, Judith Baker, Charla Hagan; a special aunt, Mattie Beard and a host of loving nieces, nephews, dear friends and her extended family, the Mitchell's. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from One Way United Baptist Church, 1040 13th Street, Augusta, GA. Interment will be in Westview Memorial Gardens in Atlanta, Georgia. The family will receive friends Monday, October 14, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. W. H.
