AVERA, Ga. - Agnes Clark Thigpen, 102, loving wife of 67 years to Curtis Thigpen, entered into her eternal rest Friday, March 4, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:30PM, Monday, March 7, 2016 at James Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ken Gross officiating. Interment will follow in Wrens Memorial Gardens. Agnes was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and was in fellowship at Gospel Chapel in Avera. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Dicy and Cleveland Clark; and her siblings, Vivian Sheppard, Lester Clark, J.T. Clark, and Homer Dixon. Other survivors include her daughters, Patsy Thigpen and Sheryl McDonald (Anthony); sister-in-law, Glenice Clark; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Christian Missions in Many Lands Inc., PO Box 13, Spring Lake, NJ 07762-0013.
