AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Alice Thielenhaus Miskelly, 80, beloved wife of the late Paul Miskelly, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Platt's Crawford Avenue Chapel with Rev. Henry Miskelly officiating. Interment to follow in West View Cemetery. Mrs. Miskelly worked for 24 years in Civil Service with the VA Hospital Uptown. She was a member of American Legion Post 63. Mrs. Miskelly loved watching her soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. She also loved golf and the UGA Bulldogs. Mrs. Miskelly is survived by her children, Cheryl Callaway (Wayne), Teresa Cole, Steven Ethridge (Janice), Henry Miskelly (Denise), Paul R. MIskelly (Sheila), Sheila Farr (Jim), and Pamela Blackwelder; her brother, Don Thielenhaus (Margaret); her sister, Dorothy Phillips; and by her 16 grand and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miskelly was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene and Bill Thielenhaus. Pallbearers will be Mike Bennett, Josh Cole, Ricky Alley, Alan McDuffie, Adam Miskelly, Greg Miskelly, and Lewis Miskelly. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, August 14, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
