AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Anne S. Clark, 96, entered peacefully into rest on Friday, March 1, 2013. Born in Springfield, MA, to the late Stephen and Irene Steblin, Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Walter Clark; sister Tina Berte; and brothers John and Wash Steblin. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Irene (Clark) and Randy Dillard of Grovetown; daughter, Barbara (Clark) Millard of Lenexa, KS; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Amber (Dillard) and Jeff Hammond of Homosassa, FL; and four grandsons - Ryan Dillard of Martinez; and Timothy Constance, Brett Cunningham and Jonathan Cunningham, all of Lenexa, KS. Anne's life was dedicated to God, her husband, children and grandchildren. She was raised in the Russian Orthodox Church and became a United Methodist upon her marriage. She spent more than 50 years serving her Lord as a faithful church volunteer in each congregation to which she belonged. She raised two daughters with deep love and selfless giving. As each of the five grandchildren came into her life, the love and care in her heart multiplied. She derived immeasurable pleasure from watching them grow, spending with them, making things for them, attending their school, sports and recital events. She considered it the ultimate joy and blessing of her life to be able to meet, hold and love on her twin great grandsons, Chase and Logan Hammond, who were born November 16, 2012 and were in Anne's arms by the first week in January.
