LANGLEY, S.C. - Mrs. Annette Kaney Meyer, 67, beloved wife of forty-nine years to Mr. Thomas Bernard Meyer, entered into rest on Thursday, January 1st, 2015, under the loving care of Agape Hospice. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Mary Davis Kaney. She retired from Pepperidge Farm, Aiken, SC, after twenty-nine years of service, where she was an Administrative Assistant. Annette was a dedicated member of Langley United Methodist Church, Langley, SC, where she served as Financial Secretary, Children's Sermon Director, Sunday School Teacher, VBS team member, and was a member of the Grace Rhoden Sunday School Class. She enjoyed baking cakes and being around children, especially babies, who held a special place in her heart. In addition to her husband and parents, family members include sons, Thomas B. Meyer, Jr., Greenville, SC and Christopher A. Meyer, Aiken, SC; siblings, David "Peter Rabbit" (Ann) Kaney, Langley, SC, Pauline Finney, Aiken, SC and the late Thomas, Bobby, Wilbur, Jack and Wayne Butch Kaney; sisters-in-law, MaryBell (the late Donald) Chance, Newport, NJ, Lana (Dean) Brantley, Aiken, SC and DeLois (Carl) Insley, Langley, SC; grandchildren, Austin, Ryan, Graham, Morgan and Olivia Meyer, as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 7th, 2015, at 3 o'clock at Langley United Methodist Church, Langley, SC, with Pastor John Williams officiating. Visit to share memories and leave a message of condolence for the family. Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice ( or Langley United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends on (this evening) Tuesday, January 6th, 2015, from 7 until 9 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC.
