AUGUSTA, Ga. Asa Benjamin Ben Carroll, 91, husband of 70 years to Floy Dixon Carroll, entered into rest Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. Graveside services will be from Hillcrest Memorial Park, Sunday, February 10, 2013, at 2:00 PM, with Reverend David Dixon officiating. Family and friends are requested to assemble at the graveside. Mr. Carroll, son of the late Henry and Martha Granger Carroll, was born in Mt. Vernon, GA. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He owned and operated several service stations in Augusta and was a Baptist. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Bobby Carroll, Sr., of Augusta; his daughter, Doris Rachel Morris, and her husband, Dick, of Evans; his grandchildren, Susannah Chance, Tammy Deason and her husband, Scott, Bobby Carroll, Jr., and Candice Shachleford; seven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; three step great grandchildren; and one step great great granddaughter.
