MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Ben F. Walters III, age 56, of Milledgeville, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the Northridge Christian Church in Milledgeville with Reverend Craig Portwood officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville and they will also receive friends Saturday following the memorial service at the church. Ben was born in Laurens County and raised in both Washington and Baldwin Counties. He was the son of the late Bennie Folsom Walters Jr. Ben was the current owner and operator of the World Famous Dairy Lane in Sandersville where he enjoyed managing his restaurant as well as practicing his trading skills of buying and selling most any item imaginable. He learned to love the outdoors at an early age by becoming an Eagle Scout. He continued that outdoor spirit though out is life through his love of motorsports, hunting, fishing and especially a day on lake Sinclair. Ben was a member of the Northridge Christian Church. Survivors are; his wife Sherri Thomas Walters, children, Paige Walters, B.T. Walters all of Milledgeville, his mother Eleanor L. Meme Walters and sister Mary Jo W. Sheppard and her husband Alan all of Sandersville and nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the in Georgia, 2452 Spring Road, Smyrna, GA. 30080.
