AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Beotis Clark, Sr., 87, entered into rest July 26, 2016 at Augusta University Medical Center. Mr. Clark was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was passionate about his church and civic organizations. He was a devoted member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, Augusta, GA, where he served as past Pro Team Leader, Trustee and Mentor, past President Lay organization, member of the Chancel choir and male chorus. Mr. Clark also served as past President of AFGE No. 217, Bannaker Lodge No. 3 and the Lebanon Consistory No. 28.
He leaves to mourn a devoted wife of 62 years, Belle S. Clark; a loving son, Beotis (Estella) Clark; daughter, Dora (Rodney) Ford; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a caring mother-in-law, Annie M. Saxon; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2016 at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 623 Crawford Avenue, Augusta, Ga. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in state in church an hour before service.
