Billie Eliza Frank Boze Cargile, 97, died peacefully in her sleep on August 29 at Brandon Wilde in Evans, GA. She was born April 29, 1921 in Savoy, Texas to William Franklin and Eliza Rebecca (Scott) Boze. She grew up in Commerce, TX, married John Cargile and lived in New Orleans, LA, Aiken, SC, and Evans, GA.

Billie, a devoted wife and mother, loved God with all her heart and was His faithful servant, volunteering many hours at church and other organizations to make the world a better place. Many have benefited from her prayers and wise counsel. She was predeceased by her parents, 7 siblings, and husband John William Cargile. She is survived by her three children: Ann Webb (and Wayne), Judy Richards (and Steve), and John Cargile, Jr. (and Dee Wagner), 6 grandchildren: Lisa Kirk, Laura Webb, Mary Richards, Alex Cargile, Sally McMahon, and Mamie Traynor, and 7 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans, Georgia at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 15.
