AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Billy Welch, 78, husband of the late Janice Brown Welch for 55 years entered into rest Monday, January 25, 2016 at University Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 6:00 P.M., in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Bennie Bush officiating. He was born in Gibson, GA to the late Joseph and Ethel Kitchens Welch and a
veteran. He was a retired Millwright from Federal Paperboard and a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Survivors include his son, Joseph Welch and his wife Penny of Edgefield, SC; daughters, Rhonda McBurney and her husband Terry and Cynthia Bass all of Grovetown; sister, Barbara Hughes and her husband Chester of Greensboro, NC; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
