AIKEN, S.C. - Mr. Bo Rearden, 83, husband of the late Phebia Weathersbee Rearden, entered into rest on Monday, June 29, 2015. Born in and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late Eula Lewis, Addie Louise Jackson Rearden and stepson to the late Azilee Rearden. A veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after twenty years of service, earning the rank of Tech. Sgt. Following his retirement from the Air Force he began a career with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, retiring as Lead Investigator. Still not ready to retire, Bo went to work with the Aiken County Coroner's Office, where he served as Deputy Coroner. Bo was a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene, New Ellenton, SC. was a Mason as well as a Shriner, was an avid Braves fan, enjoyed reading his newspaper daily, working crossword puzzles and fishing. In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Tammy Parker and her husband, Jeffery, Bedford, VA and Jerry Burnett, NC; siblings, Donnie Rearden, Augusta, GA, Jenny Fulghum, Bath, SC, Joyce Moxley, Graniteville, SC, the late Jackie Widener and the late Renee Rearden; grandchildren, Cherise Seigler, Jason Lewis Parker, Jonathan Lester Parker, Jennifer Lynn Parker, Courtney Burkett and Leah Solis; great-grandchildren, Sterling Seigler, Reese Seigler, Dallas Parker, Landon Burnett and Shelby Burnett; great-great-grandchildren, Aiden and Kyson Burnett and a special friend, Ruby Richardson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at 11 o'clock at Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Thom Harvey officiating. Bo will be placed in the church at 10 o'clock on Thursday. Interment with full military honors accorded by a United States Air Force Honor Guard will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be the Aiken County Sheriff Mike Hunt and the Aiken County Sheriff's Department. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton and the Aiken County Coroner's Office.
