AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Bunny Purvis, 90, entered into rest on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Georgia War Veteran's Retirement Home. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at West View Cemetery. Mr. Purvis was a native of Augusta, served in the U. S. Navy during WW II, retired from Bellsouth and was with the Richmond County Planning and Zoning Commission for many years. He was an avid golfer and loved the outdoors and sports. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Viola J. Purvis and daughter, Frances Purvis. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia McBride, son-in-law, Richard McBride and granddaughters, Katherine Williams Bowen and Julia McBride. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Platt's Crawford Avenue.
