AUGUSTA, Ga. - Carlos B. Page, 82, entered into rest on Friday, February 13, 2015, at his residence with his family surrounding him. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Carlos was born in Marsden, Oklahoma, had moved to North Augusta, SC and worked at Augusta Roofing and later Southern Milling Company of Augusta. He served in the Army as an Intermediate Speed Radio Operator in Ft. Benning, GA. His first retirement was from Civil Service at the U.S. Post Office Garage and his second retirement was from Augusta Entertainment Center as a security person and Zamboni mechanic; he had received an award as an Outstanding Older Worker. He was a member in good standing of Pine Grove Baptist Church, a man well loved and respected by community and friends. His hobbies were drag racing, riding motorcycles (member of Master City Riders), talking on CB Radios, his handle was "Spark Plug"; enjoyed working on anything with a motor. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dovie Page; a sister, Chloe Heiderich; his first wife of 31 years, Betty Jean Hadden and his second wife of 28 years, Carrie Jane Godbee. He is survived by his daughters, Faye and Cindy; stepdaughters, Cheryl, Anita, Darlene and Debbie; brothers, Weldon Page (Ann), Bill Page Jean), Omar Page (Naomi), Kenneth Page (Natha) and Charles Page (Erma); a sister, Linda Brown (Ron); a host of grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be D.R. McKie, Bruce Alford, Buck Faulkner, Jimmy Bagwell, Russell James and Jack Watson. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
