NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Memorial Services for Mrs. Carolyn Peebles Evans, 77, of Woodlawn Court, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest September 19, 2012, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Mrs. Evans was a native of Meeks, Georgia, a former resident of Jackson, having made North Augusta her home for the past four years. She was a member of Matlock Baptist Church and had dedicated her life to her family. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Art Evans; four sons and daughters- in-law, Art Evans, III, Henry and Lori Evans, all of North Augusta, Dennis and Lana Evans and Kenny and Angela Evans, all of Jackson; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David Mottel, North Augusta; sixteen grandchildren, Brian Mottel, Ben Mottel, Laura Mottel, Sam Mottel, Travis Evans, Nick Evans, Bryson Evans, Madison Evans, Kyle Evans, Brooke Evans, Jenny Evans, Carrie Evans, Tyler Evans, Savannah Elizabeth, Kendall Evans and Kasey Glisson; a great grandchild, Jackson Evans. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, Augusta Chapter, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
