ISLAMORADA, Fla. - Charles Rossignol, longtime resident of Islamorada, FL, passed away on August 20, 2016. He received in home hospice care with VNA Hospice from August 3rd until he passed. Charles was born on July 21st, 1940 in Augusta, GA to Charles Finley and Mira Mozelle Winten Rossignol and went on to graduate from North Carolina State University. Together with his loving wife Judy and good friends they dived, fished, and boated extensively on the "hangin'out" throughout the Bahamas, Mexico, and Islamorada. They also enjoyed many years of RV'ing across the US and Canada. "Charlie", as he was known, had an infectious smile that lit up a room. He loved to be surrounded by friends, family and always his puppies. He is survived by his sister, Margie Ann Meyer of Augusta, GA, his wife Judy Rossignol and children Kathy Pilkey (husband Tom, sons Christopher and Patrick), Margie Jacobson (husband David, daughters Anna and Sarah) and son Charles Rossignol (wife Jennifer). The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on October 15th, 2016 in his hometown of Augusta, GA at the Walker Family Cemetery.
